This selector checks one tablet or one standard capsule inside an outer capsule. It does not calculate a fit for multiple units. Measure the tablet with calipers, enter the dimensions, and the selector returns the double-blind size from the maker's sizing bands, the standard sizes that clear it, a backfill estimate at your excipient's bulk density, and a swallowability flag. Nothing you enter leaves this page. It does not replace a physical fit check with the real tablet in the real capsule.

Double-blind bands are the maker's published over-encapsulation sizing guide, which already carries a 0.2 mm margin against the minimum of the dimensional tolerance. Standard-size fits are estimated from published external dimensions less a 0.2 mm wall allowance and a further 0.2 mm clearance, until our own bench fit trial replaces them. For a round tablet, backfill is the capsule body's volume less the tablet's estimated cylindrical volume, multiplied by bulk density. Approximating a biconvex tablet as a full cylinder can overestimate its volume and understate the space and backfill remaining. Treat the result as an estimate and confirm it by physical filling. Nothing here is advice about what a capsule's contents do for anyone.
